Good morning,

I hope all of you are doing well!  I hope that you are completing your eLearning assignments on time and that you are communicating with your teachers regularly.  It is CRUCIAL that you complete your course work and earn your credits!!

GRADUATION

Thank you to all of you who participated in the survey about graduation celebration.  An overwhelming number of you (70%) said that you would like to have a live graduation ceremony.  We agree that this is the best way to honor and we would like to make that happen.  However, we have decided that we would like to make that happen sooner than Homecoming 2020.  Below is the schedule that we will follow in regards to virtual and live graduation ceremonies.  Please pay close attention to dates and times and do your absolute best to clear your calendar to be a part of these special events:

Sunday, May 31, 2020 Noon - Release of the 2020 Mississinewa High School Virtual Graduation

Wednesday, July 22, 2020 4:00 - Graduation Practice and Cookout at the Mississinewa High School Football Field

Saturday, July 25, 2020 7:30 - Class of 2020 Graduation Ceremony at the Mississinewa High School Football Field

Saturday, August 1, 2020 7:30 - Rain Date for outdoor graduation ceremony

There will be more guidance on all of these events so it is imperative that you are checking your email and completing the requirements to make these events positive and memorable for everyone.

CAP AND GOWN PICK UP

We will be conducting a cap and gown distribution on Wednesday, May 6, 2020 from 4:00-6:00 in the north parking lot at Mississinewa High School.  This process will be exactly like food distribution has been during this shutdown.  Cars will enter the parking lot from Garthwaite Road and proceed to the north parking lot to door #10 (by the tennis courts).  You will need to have the first and last name of the senior on a piece of paper on the dashboard.  You will also need to bring cash with exact change or call 317-326-2782 to pay by card.  If money is an issue, please communicate DIRECTLY with me, Mr. Quaderer, and I will help make arrangements.

SENIOR SIGNS

We hope that each of you is proud to display your "We Love Our Grads" sign at your home.  We have had several requests from friends, relatives, and community members who want to show their support of the class of 2020 with their own sign. Additional signs will be on sale starting now through April 29th.  They can be purchased by clicking the link below and can be picked up in the food distribution line on Monday, May 4th from 4:00-6:00.

Please continue to stay positive.  You have heard me tell you on the announcements over the past 4 years "There are 3 things you can control- your attitude, your concentration, and your effort!"  I believe, now more than ever, we all need to make sure we are positive, we are laser focused on what needs done, and we get it done.  If we control those things we will be successful.

I am proud of the Class of 2020.
